PiE January Meeting

T-Shirt Competition
· Six entries were received for the
T-Shirt Competition
· Tanya to
contact a local artist to explore whether a final design can be created using
one of the entries as a base concept.
· As a back-up plan, Tanya to contact Jeff during the week of January 25 to extend the dead line by two
weeks.
February Information Night
· It was agreed that the proposed date
of Thursday, February 11, was too soon to effectively arrange an Information
Night.
· The new date will be Tuesday, March
8, from 6:30PM to 8:00PM.
· The format of the event is still
under consideration, but it likely will be billed as a Principals’ Dessert
night.
· Carla will
distribute a Google questionnaire, asking partners to select topics of interest
from a prepared list of ideas.
· Jim to ask
Keith Roberts if he will hold this night as a potential panelist.
Wellness and Garden
· It was acknowledged that more
resources were needed to support and expand this program, particularly a PiE
partner to act as a school liaison and activity coordinator.
· Jim reported that Aimee Frost is
arranging a working session with Heidi & Susan to develop a W&G
mission, action plan, needs assessment and annual budget.
· Various resources were mentioned that
merited further exploration (Master Gardener, Sustainability/Green Club, Girl
Scouts)
Family Dance
· Tanya reported that planning for the
Family Dance is in good shape.
· The DJ is booked and sponsored
· The Key Club has agreed to hang
decorations.
· Still looking for a sponsor for the
Photobooth
· Tanya would like to arrange a pizza
party for the class with the most attendees
Red Barn Gourmet Frozen Food
Fundraiser
· Kate raised the idea of a spring
fundraiser, partnering with Red Barn, which was supported by the other meeting
attendees.
· Kate will
commit with Red Barn and discuss timing with the Finance Team
